What To Do When You Have To Wake Up Too Early
It’s Sunday evening. You have to wake up at an ungodly hour tomorrow morning and drag yourself in to work. You really don’t want to do it, but you have responsibilities. You have bills to pay, and your boss will be none too happy if you just choose not to show up. We can’t all be ‘morning people’, but what can the rest of us do to make this situation easier on ourselves?
Go to bed earlier.
This one may seem obvious; but it’s a healthy, safe, tried-and-true method to make yourself less tired. Simply hit the hay at an earlier time.
Use melatonin to sleep easily.
Melatonin (when used as directed) can be extremely helpful in lulling you to sleep, especially if you’ve had a long day or are still “wide awake” when you should be winding down. It’s important to allow at least 8 hours to sleep, and not to operate machinery or vehicles while using melatonin.
Have a healthy morning routine.
I know it’s early – but make time for a light, healthy breakfast. It will provide you with the energy you need to propel yourself through the rest of the day. Caffeine (coffee or tea) is also helpful, when used in moderation.
These are just a few tips to help you stay happy and productive when you need to wake up at an ungodly hour. It’s not always easy, but you can do it!
